Commonly Ignored Facts about Building Lean Muscle Brought to Light by a Liverpool Personal Trainer:
10th September 2010
With so many fitness-related information existing on the Internet, are you confused which information you should trust upon? Do you wonder how you can effectively manage to obtain a fit body without injuring your body? If yes, I, John Wright- an experienced Liverpool personal trainer can provide answers to all your problems. In my years as a Liverpool personal trainer, I have noticed that many people, in their bid to get a well-toned body, tend to ignore some important factors. I will now inform you about some very important but often-ignored fitness tips:
Liverpool Personal Trainer’s Tip # 1: Consume at least a gram of protein for each pound of muscle:
Today, it is a known fact that protein is a must for building muscle. But how much protein do you need to take? As a Total body Personal Trainer in Liverpool, I have understood that the body requires more protein than what is usually recommended. Usually people consume around 70-80 grams in a day if their lucky, but if you are looking for real improvements, then I suggest that you should consider your body weight to determine the amount of protein you should consume in a day. You can follow the below-mentioned dietary pattern:
- A 4-egg omelette with cheese
- A protein shake
- Organic yoghurt with berries
- A small bowl of quinoa
- Tin of tuna
- A large leafy salad
- A chicken breast
- A glass of water
- An apple and peanut butter
- Another whey protein shake
- A 350 gram steak
- 200 grams of broccoli
- 1 sweet potato
- A glass of water
- Before bed: A whey protein shake
Liverpool Personal Trainer’s Tip # 2: Get enough sleep:
As a Personal Trainer myself, I can vouch for the importance of sleep in building a fit and healthy body. Following are some benefits of getting a sufficient amount of sleep:
- It helps in the protein synthesis of all the protein that you consume
- It mentally charges you up for your work-out routines
- It helps in growth hormone and testosterone production
I suggest my clients to eat a high-protein meal before sleep. You should sleep for at least 8-10 hours everyday.
Following are some handy tips to get a sound sleep:
- Take a warm bath before sleep
- Avoid watching television, drinking and smoking in bed
- Follow a regular sleeping pattern. Sleep at the same time every night
Liverpool Personal Trainer’s Tip # 3: Develop a positive attitude and manage stress:
Think positive to get the best out of your work-out regime. Being a Personal Trainer, I can say that a positive mental attitude goes a long way in attaining a fit body. It can be very difficult to perform rigorous exercises and stretch your body to its limit, when your mind is full of negativity. Besides, stress too can wreck havoc with your fitness goal. When you experience stress, your body releases a hormone called cortisol. Excess production of this hormone can cause health complications and dent your chances of achieving a fit body. You can perform Yoga or meditation daily to manage stress.
These are the three bodybuilding facts that you can’t afford to ignore. As a Total Body personal trainer in Liverpool, I have made many fitness enthusiasts realise the importance of good diet, positive attitude and sound sleep. I have successfully helped many people attain a fit body.
