Get Visible Ripped Abs by Following the Tips of a Personal Trainer in Liverpool

6th August 2010

Do you envy Brad Pitt or Robert Pattinson for their to lean abs? Do you wish to get rid of your excess belly fat and acquire an envious set of 6 pack abs? If yes, I, John Wright a personal trainer in Liverpool can be your best guide.

Getting those 6 pack abs will take a lot of effort on your part. However, with a Liverpool personal trainer by your side, you'll have all the guidance you need to get those ripped abs. Following are the two most important things you'll need to do to lose weight and get well toned abs.

1. Proper dietary regime, as recommended by Liverpool personal trainer:

Following a well-balanced dietary regime is a key to fat loss. Irrespective of how hard or how much you train, you won’t get those ripped abs if you live on cookies, burgers, potato chips, pizzas and other such junk or fast food.

Stay away from those low-fat fad diets that claim to help you get 6-pack abs in three weeks. Instead, have a well-balanced, healthy diet that involves all the essential nutrients including protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, fats and minerals. As a personal trainer in Liverpool, I would recommend you to choose natural, wholesome and organic food over processed food.

Avoid fast burning and refined carbs that contain white sugar and white flour. Ensure that your major sources of carbohydrates are vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Include a source of lean protein with every meal. Consume healthy fats from flax seed, nuts, avocado and fish. Lean protein and essential fatty acids help to regulate appetite and facilitate fat loss.

Lastly, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water throughout the day. This will not only keep your body hydrated but also speed up fat loss.

If you are one of those people who like to have a princely meal every time they sit at the dinner table, you’ll have to say good-bye to your eating habits. As a Liverpool personal trainer, I would advise you to prefer having 5-6 small meals throughout the day. This will boost your body metabolism and keep you active throughout the day. Besides, it can be the best way to curb those incessant hunger pangs.

2/ Proper exercise regime, as recommended by Liverpool personal trainer:

If you think you can get those wonder abs just by doing a few crunches daily, you’re in for a big shock. As a personal trainer in Liverpool, I would like to tell you that you’ll need to follow a very rigorous and strenuous exercise regime if you wish to get a 6-pack just as your favourite celebrity. Crunches and leg lifts are two most effective abdominal exercises.

However, if you’ve been doing crunches and leg lifts for months now and still haven’t achieved toned abs, the reason could be your building abs but not reducing the body fat. By doing just crunches and leg raises alone, you won’t get the desired results, no matter how hard you try.

In my years as a personal trainer in Liverpool, I have helped many individuals learn the right technique to maximise their calorie expenditure in their exercises.

Two of the best exercises i can recommend for increased calorie burn in a workout is the clean and press and the kettle bell swing.

Clean & Press

Step 1

Begin in a position similar to the deadlift. If you don't know what a deadlift is, check out my other article on it. Lean down and grasp the bar tightly, about shoulder width apart.

Step 2

With an explosive thrust, pull the weight up off the ground, pulling with your back and arms, and lower your knees to bring your body lower as the weight keeps coming up with momentum.

Step 3

Fling your rists to catch the weight as it falls into your chest. Straighten out your legs. Take a second to breathe before pressing (or jerking as it's called with momentum).

Step 4

With another explosive thrust, bend your knees very quickly and slightly and straighten and explode up, pushing the weight too with your arms. Bend your legs again, just with one foot forward and one foot backward, enabling you to lock your arms so that you're holding the weight above your head.

Kettlebell Swing

Step 1

Stand straight with your legs shoulder width apart.

Step 2

Lean forward at your waist slightly and bend your knees so as to go into a semi-squat. Keep your back arched and head facing forward steadily.

Step 3

Try a light kettlebell first. Let you arms hang loosely and raise the weight with both hands over your head and inhale. Then, swing the weight with both hands in between the legs towards the back of you while exhaling. Move the kettlebell using power thrusts from the hip, thigh, and lower back muscles.

powerful hip snap on every rep are musts.

By following these tips, I can guarantee that you’ll very soon notice your belly fat being replaced by those ripping muscles.
