Eggs

Why Egg's Will Help You Burn Fat & Boost Metabolism

The humble egg is rated as one of nature's top super foods and for good reason, the egg contains a whole basket full of health benefits that range from having components that are great for eye health, helps neurotransmitters that deal with memory and cognitive thought, B vitamins, calcium, iron. There are now many eggs enriched with omega 3 (which the benefits for are just too numerous to list in this section!) and a major benefit that most people are interested in (especially most dieters and gym goers) is that studies have shown that eating eggs for breakfast may actually aide in weight loss this is all to do with how proteins effect our body and our metabolism.

Also on a rather large side note eggs are one of the most bio-available sources of protein, which is great for building and maintaining muscle! But guess what, the good news is that almost all of the nutrients are in the yolk so that means no more egg white omelettes.

But what about the cholesterol

There has NEVER been a conclusive study that has linked egg consumption (1-3 daily) to an increase in blood cholesterol levels, in fact there have been many studies that have shown that eating eggs has little or no effect on blood cholesterol levels. As always you can have too much of a good thing, try eating 1-2 eggs 3-4 times a week to get all of amazing benefits this little yolky miracle has to offer. It is in my opinion that eggs can and should be included in a healthy diet whether your goals are weight loss, muscle building or just wanting to live a healthier life style.
