Liverpool Personal Trainer Informs you About Some Common But Dangerous Muscle Building Mistakes:

10th September 2010

Do you frequently experience those incessant, unbearable pains every time you finish performing your daily exercises? If yes, the problem could be because you’re not paying heed to your trainer’s advice and performing exercises using a wrong technique. I, John Wright- a reputed Total Body Liverpool Personal Trainer, have helped many individuals realise the common mistakes they commit when performing exercises. Following are some common mistakes you strictly need to avoid:

  1. Ignoring Strength Training:

In my experience as a Liverpool personal trainer, I have seen many individuals committing the mistake of avoiding strength training. Many people work out with the main motive of building mass and muscle. But they forget that strength training is also an important part of the training regime. It may not be essential at the later stages of body-building, but as a beginner or as an intermediate body-builder, it is too important to miss. It is very important to distribute the strength in your muscles. Hence, take enough repetitions for a weight, in the correct technique, to achieve the best results.

  1. Adding too much weight too early in your exercise regime:

Another mistake that I see commonly is that some people, in their enthusiasm to build muscles, train using too much weight. This is one of the most dangerous sins you can commit during exercising, as it can injure your muscles. You can gradually increase weight as you progress. You’ve got to remember that strength builds slowly after the beginner’s level. When you have perfected the technique at one weight, add just around a pound more and practice for a week or two. Once you have perfected that, increase your weight by another pound.

  1. Not taking enough safety measures:

In my business of Personal Training in Liverpool, I have seen a lot of injuries that happen to people when they don’t have strict technique. Always perform all the workouts by following the right technique. Breaking away from your technique when you are training hard, is a common mistake. You can achieve a great body if you have a disciplined routine, which means that you not only put enough effort, but also follow the proper technique and so obtain more effective results.

  1. Giving importance to the wrong exercises:

In my years as a personal trainer in Liverpool, I have seen many people focussing more on the isolating exercises and completely ignoring the Total Body functional exercises. Agreed, isolating muscle building exercises are a must if you wish to flaunt those ripping muscles. However, functional Total Body exercises like dead lifts and the clean & press are equally important and can help you build more strength and stamina. Hence, always follow the instructions of Liverpool’s personal trainers and perform exercises as recommended.

Overview:

By performing the right exercises in a most appropriate way, you can easily avoid those incessant muscle pains. Do not perform any exercise in your trainer’s absence.
